How ButterHabits works

Keep the habit simple. Use context when it matters.

ButterHabits starts with a straightforward daily check-in. Reflection, triggers, recovery, analytics, and AI are there to help—not to make every habit feel complicated.

01

Create a clear habit

Choose an action you can track each day. Create it manually or ask Butter to help make the goal more specific.

Example

Exercise for 30 minutes every day.

02

Check in each day

Mark whether you followed or broke the habit. Add a reflection separately whenever you want to record more context.

Example

Followed: completed today’s 30-minute exercise session.

03

Understand the setback

When the habit is broken, record the reason or trigger and choose a practical recovery action for the next day.

Example

Reason: I ran out of time. Recovery: exercise for one hour tomorrow instead of 30 minutes.

04

Review and improve

Use progress views or AI Review to see what is working and adjust the habit when the plan is too difficult or poorly timed.

Example

If 30 minutes every day is not realistic, change the schedule or start with a shorter session.

Use what helps

Advanced tools stay optional.

A simple habit may only need a check-in. A difficult pattern may benefit from triggers, recovery, reflection, AI guidance, or deeper analytics. ButterHabits lets those workflows stay separate.
